The Farm to City App is a true mobile application downloadable from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store that helps folks discover local farmers, growers, bakers, and makers in their region and beyond.
-
The founder is just one woman behind-the-scenes who wanted a simple, transparent way for folks like herself to be able to find their nearby farmers, growers, bakers, and makers in their communities without relying on social media algorithms, complicated searches, or overcrowded farmers market listings.
If you’d like to read more on the story of how the Farm to City App came to be, please click here.
-
It was developed to give farmers, growers, bakers, and makers a unified place to be seen by the folks who are looking for a fun, easy, and accessible way to support them.
The app makes it easy for folks to find local food & flowers and support the farmers, growers, bakers, and makers behind each location pinned on the app’s interactive map.
-
Nope! Although Farm to City has its roots in BC, the App’s map is continually expanding to include communities all across Canada, the USA, and even New Zealand.
We are actively focused on growing our community in all of these regions and beyond!

Please click here to be redirected to our super-quick Add Your Stand form (takes approx. 2 mins to complete).
-
To be included, you need a physical location with open hours that farmstand hoppers (customers) can rely on. As an example, some of our stands are seasonal only, so we show on their App pins the months of the year that they’re operational as well as the days/hours they’re open for. For example, May - Oct, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
We cannot accommodate “sometimes-y” locations who are only open on days they feel like it. We require each location to have dates/times that potential customers can rely on so that the platform builds and keeps the trust of those using it.
You must be comfortable having your location’s address published on the App platform.
Listings are meant for locally-made or produced food-based, farm-based, flower farms, or agriculture-adjacent businesses (like tallow soaps and personal care) only.
-
The Farm to City App includes food and farm–related producers, such as:
Food growers (vegetables, fruit, herbs)
Flower growers
Butchers & meat animal farmers
Egg producers
Dairy farms & dairy makers
Micro-bakeries (sourdough, farmhouse stands)
U-pick farms (fruit, nuts, flowers)
Small, food and farm-based operations that sell directly to their community
Products made with farm-related ingredients (like tallow skincare and beeswax candles)
We are sorry, but at this time, craft sellers, artisans, pottery, crochet/knitting, are not included.
This ensures the platform stays focused on local food, flowers, and farm-related items.
-
Absolutely NOT!
Our farmers, growers, bakers, and makers have enough overhead and hands in their pockets - we are NOT here to take a cent from them!
It is FREE to have your location added to the app - no fees, no commissions - and it’s fast and easy!
The app itself is also FREE to download for folks who choose to be part of the Farm to City family and host their location on the App platform. After we receive your stand info to add to the app map, we’ll send a code so you can download the app for free.
Please request to add your stand BEFORE you download the app (if possible!) as it’s prettymuch impossible to do any reverse logistics to refund an app subscription through Apple or Google Play if you accidentally download the app first.
If you’d like to add your location to the App, please click here (takes 2 minutes max).
-
Locations are pinned on the app map with details about each of their offerings, address, which payment types they take, opening days/hours, and how App users can contact them (social platform links and/or traditional contact info like phone number and/or email address IF desired).
App users use the App platform to browse and visit the listings of their choice.
It’s simple, fun, and direct.
-
No. The Farm to City App does not sell or deliver goods or handle orders of any kind. The platform simply helps folks discover and connect with their local options directly.
